Our client is a well-established financial services organization experiencing rapid growth. We’re seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to help lead the development of scalable, maintainable Ruby applications. This role is well-suited for an experienced engineer who enjoys shaping technical direction, mentoring others, and solving complex problems in a collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful technical impact while helping shape a growing engineering team.
What You’ll Do
• Design, build, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications
• Lead feature development and influence system architecture
• Conduct and guide code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional partners
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance and reliability
• Participate in technical interviews and team growth initiatives
What We’re Looking For
• Strong professional experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design and clean architecture
• Experience designing APIs and working with relational databases
• Strong testing mindset (TDD, RSpec, integration testing)
• Comfort owning features, systems, and technical decisions
• Experience working in hybrid or on-site teams
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
• Experience with performance optimization and scaling Rails applications
• CI/CD design or DevOps collaboration experience
• Mentorship or technical leadership experience

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
