Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Analyst/Developer – Specialty 3 (Data Operations). The work will be done onsite or hybrid in Chicago / Peoria, IL , with a hybrid schedule initially (approximately two days onsite) and the potential to transition to full onsite in the future. This is a long-term position (12 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is approximately $68.25/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking an experienced Analyst/Developer to support data operations and data pipeline reliability across enterprise systems. This role focuses on data quality, data triage, governance, and architecture while supporting break/fix activities and root-cause analysis within complex data pipelines. The position will work closely with operations and technical teams to improve data reliability, monitoring, and automation. This role is ideal for a hands-on data professional with strong problem-solving skills and experience in cloud-based data environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, support, and improve data pipelines, data quality processes, and data architecture
• Perform root-cause analysis and break/fix support for data pipeline and platform issues
• Develop scripts and automation tools to detect, correct, and prevent data issues
• Build and enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities for proactive issue detection
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and internal technical teams to resolve complex data issues
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, OR equivalent technical certifications with 8+ years of experience
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Experience with data operations, data engineering, or data management
• Experience developing and supporting solutions using AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, Kinesis)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or automation frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, ADO)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting production data platforms in an operations or Tier 2/Tier 3 support model
• Strong background in data governance, monitoring, and reliability engineering
• Ability to work independently and respond to complex technical issues, including occasional off-shift support
