Akkodis is seeking a Senior Python Developer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The position focuses on developing robust microservices and ETL workflows and deploying secure, scalable solutions across Azure environments.
Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Python Developer job responsibilities include:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining Python‑based applications and microservices for data‑driven solutions.
• Building and optimizing ETL pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy to support complex data processing and transformation.
• Managing and tuning SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, including schema design and performance optimization.
• Deploying and managing cloud‑native applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Data Factory, and Blob Storage.
• Implementing data validation, testing, monitoring, and CI/CD practices to ensure system reliability and code quality.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior developers while driving best practices in coding, security, and DevOps.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of hands-on Python development experience, including at least 3 years in data engineering or analytics.
• Proven expertise in building ETL pipelines using Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and advanced SQL.
• Demonstrated experience deploying and managing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, Data Factory, and Azure SQL.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
