Senior Experiential Graphic Designer

We are Airspace.</p><p>Although we are a boutique firm based in Brooklyn, NY, we work with some of the largest brands, architects and developers across the country to bring ideas to life in the built environment.</p><p>Airspace is looking for a Senior Experiential Graphic Designer to join its award winning team.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Responsible for leading project and teams with a high level of proficiency and expertise while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design and execution</p></li><li><p>Exhibits advanced understanding of branding and storytelling strategies and design concepts including their seamless integration into the built environment</p></li><li><p>Plans, executes, develops, and documents design strategies, planning and programming, brand identity and storytelling, brand architecture, brand extensions, and environmental branding</p></li><li><p>Participates in site analysis, including survey of existing conditions and field measurements.</p></li><li><p>Complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way</p></li><li><p>Demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance and design ideas</p></li><li><p>Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance</p></li><li><p>Accountable for effective coordination with contractors, vendors, partners and consultants throughout the design process</p></li><li><p>Plays essential role in marketing efforts, develops strategic, conceptual, and developed design presentation materials, leads client presentations, and nurtures client relationships </p><p></p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>A professional degree in Graphic Design or related discipline</p></li><li><p>6+ years of environmental/experiential graphic design experience (signage and wayfinding, branded environments) </p></li><li><p>Strong typography skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including visual</p></li><li><p>Work collaboratively with Creative Director, team and independently</p></li><li><p>Firm understanding of fabrication and installation methods</p></li><li><p>Wide knowledge of project management tools, methodologies and best practices</p></li><li><p>Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and CADTools</p></li><li><p>Intermediate experience working in Revit/CAD, Rhino, Sketch-up (preferred but not required)</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Apple Suite (or equivalent)</p></li><li><p>An open and positive personality</p></li><li><p>Passion for design</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Portfolios, cover letters and resumes must be submitted for all design positions.
