Network and Security Analyst
<p><b>Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>BTEC level 3 or above</li><li>CCNA, CompTIA Network or Security certification</li><li>A computing degree is desirable</li><li>Experience of working with firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks</li><li>Knowledge of Wireshark and NMap</li><li>Understanding of MS Azure and experience of managing an enterprise network</li><li>A working knowledge of Linux</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments</li><li>Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability aligned with business needs</li><li>Continuously monitor network performance, capacity, and reliability using appropriate tools</li><li>Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to maintain service levels</li><li>Operate and manage security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and secure gateways</li><li>Ensure systems are configured in line with security best practices</li><li>Monitor for security threats and respond to incidents in line with incident management procedures</li><li>Investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions</li><li>Conduct regular vulnerability scanning, risk assessments, and remediation activities</li><li>Work with stakeholders to prioritise and address security weaknesses</li><li>Manage network access controls, authentication mechanisms, and privileged access</li><li>Ensure the principle of least privilege is consistently applied</li><li>Support the development and enforcement of network and security policies, standards, and procedures</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements</li><li>Plan and implement network and security changes through formal change control processes</li><li>Apply patches and updates to minimise risk and service disruption</li></ul>
