Application Security Architect
<p><b>Salary: £65,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Proven experience as an Application Security Architect</li><li>Strong design and development background</li><li>Expertise with Gateway technologies</li><li>Knowledge of infrastructure and platforms, including VMware/vSphere, RHEL, and Windows Server</li><li>Familiarity with Trellix, SIEM platforms, and identity and directory services such as Active Directory, DNS, and LDAP</li><li>Understanding of Gateway and security technologies, including email, chat, and file standards, web and chat protocols</li><li>Proficient in XML and JSON schema, TLS server/client certificates, and digital file format handling</li><li>Strong skills in Linux and networking, including shell scripting and REGEX</li><li>Knowledge of firewall technologies</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement skills</li><li>Ability to translate customer requirements into secure designs</li><li>Confident communicator at technical and leadership levels</li><li>Willingness to travel weekly within the South/Southwest region at short notice</li></ul>

<ul><li>Own and design technical changes needed to maintain and enhance Gateway capability</li><li>Produce high-quality design documentation in collaboration with the customer and Programme Manager</li><li>Support solution governance and ensure architectural integrity</li><li>Ensure ongoing availability, resilience, and security compliance</li><li>Provide architectural guidance during troubleshooting and incident resolution</li><li>Act as a key technical interface between engineering delivery and operational support teams</li></ul>

<p>We are seeking an experienced Application Security Architect to support the delivery and ongoing evolution of a secure Gateway capability for a strategic UK defence customer. This role combines architectural ownership, secure design governance, and operational assurance within a high-security, mission-critical environment. We offer a competitive salary of £65-70k per annum, complemented by a benefits package. You will be working onsite in Bracknell and will need to be eligible for DV clearance.</p>
