Junior Systems Administrator
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong administration experience with Windows environments</li><li>Advanced Microsoft 365 administration experience</li><li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune device and policy management</li><li>Experience managing IT environments for approximately 50-100 users</li><li>Familiarity with virtualisation platforms, including XCP-ng or similar</li><li>Working knowledge of Docker and containerised services</li><li>Experience using log aggregation platforms and monitoring tools</li><li>Strong understanding of security best practices and endpoint management</li><li>Demonstrated ability to produce clear and maintainable technical documentation</li><li>Desirable: PowerShell scripting or basic automation experience</li><li>Familiarity with identity and access management concepts</li><li>Experience working in small teams with broad operational responsibilities</li><li>Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting</li><li>Key Soft Skills: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Security-focused mindset with a proactive approach to risk reduction</li><li>Ability to prioritise support tasks while contributing to longer-term improvements</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Administer and maintain Windows-based environments and Microsoft 365 services</li><li>Manage users, devices, policies, and compliance through Microsoft Intune</li><li>Provide day-to-day technical support to employees across multiple departments</li><li>Maintain strong security practices, including access control, endpoint protection, and system hardening</li><li>Manage and support virtualised infrastructure environments</li><li>Assist with deployment and maintenance of Docker-based services where required</li><li>Monitor systems using log aggregation and infrastructure monitoring tools</li><li>Maintain accurate, structured documentation for all systems, configurations, and support processes</li><li>Support onboarding and offboarding workflows, including device provisioning and account lifecycle management</li><li>Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and productivity tool issues</li></ul>

<p>Our client is a small, specialist team focused on delivering a wide range of high-quality IT solutions. The team currently consists of two people, and you will report directly to the Director, working in a collaborative yet autonomous environment. We offer a position as a Systems Administrator & Support Assistant, where you will manage and support our organisations internal IT environment as well as one of our clients. This role combines hands-on user support with infrastructure administration, emphasizing security, reliability, and clear documentation.</p>
