Senior Infrastructure Engineer
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We are looking for a talented and highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience and a proven track record in designing and delivering infrastructure services and solutions. You should have experience working within a hybrid server estate that includes multiple Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows, various Unix or Linux distributions, and containerized platforms. Key qualifications include:</li><li>Significant experience in providing specialist technical support to projects, ensuring the definition and delivery of requisite non-functional requirements for architectural and roadmap developments.</li><li>Proven ability to support and mentor the development of team members.</li><li>Demonstrable experience in scripting across multiple languages to deploy, enhance, or resolve issues with various operating systems or applications.</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively liaise at different levels, including support and engineering, business users, architecture, and suppliers.</li><li>ITIL Foundation qualified or equivalent experience.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in our DWP Enterprise Tooling Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the IT services that support the Department for Work and Pensions' systems. Your responsibilities will include:</li><li>Overseeing all aspects of engineering within your product set.</li><li>Designing and implementing robust IT solutions.</li><li>Acting as a subject matter expert to ensure the tooling portfolio runs optimally.</li><li>Working in accordance with ITIL standards across Incident, Problem, and Change management.</li><li>Serving as an escalation point for handling live service issues and providing support to junior staff and users.</li><li>Collaborating with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and customers.</li><li>The tooling portfolio includes products like BMC Helix, Flexera, Nlyte, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Cribl. While experience with these tools isn’t essential as training will be provided, your proficiency in IT infrastructure concepts will be vital.</li></ul>
