Senior Data Engineer
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We are looking for individuals with essential technical experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Data Bricks, Python, and other data tooling. You should have a proven ability to design, code, test, correct, and document simple programs or scripts. Experience in cleansing, preparing, and formatting data sets is crucial, along with an awareness of designing scalable solutions and future-proof data services. Additionally, we value experience where you have been a key player in delivering technical solutions as part of large projects, familiarity with modern delivery models such as Scrum and other Agile practices, and an advocate of DevOps principles, including experience with Azure DevOps.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>In the role of Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for data enhancements and executing plans that utilize our current toolkit and the skills of the team to deliver high-quality data services. You will contribute to the development of a world-class Data Engineering capability within IPO IT & Data. Working closely with our Data Management and Business Intelligence Teams, you will help drive solutions that ensure ease of access to data and enhance their effectiveness in working with data. Your tasks will include building IPO data pipelines, owning data engineering artefacts, and creating solutions to move data internally and externally. You will engage with stakeholders to build relationships, gaining a thorough understanding of key IPO user groups and design decisions. Furthermore, you will work across various groups, projects, and products to implement data engineering solutions that address complex business problems, all while supporting the organization’s vision for data usage in alignment with corporate goals.</li></ul>

In this position, you will be part of a multi-functional delivery team within our Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) Chief Data Office, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn new technologies and methodologies. This role follows IPO's hybrid working arrangements, requiring at least 20% of your time to be spent onsite at our Newport Office.
