Platform Test Lead
<p><b>Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We require that you have the following essential qualifications:</li><li>Proven experience in test automation for infrastructure and platform engineering, including experience with PaaS/SaaS products.</li><li>Strong coding skills in Python or Java, with experience in building reusable test frameworks, utilities, and employing BDD approaches (e.g., Gherkin/Cucumber) for collaborative testing.</li><li>Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).</li><li>Familiarity with observability and performance testing tools (such as Datadog, ELK, Grafana, Locust, JMeter), along with an understanding of cyber security testing principles and logging requirements.</li><li>The ability to coach multidisciplinary teams, embed quality practices in agile delivery, and apply FinOps-aware testing approaches (like cost-impact validation and resource optimization).</li><li>Desirable qualifications include knowledge of platform engineering patterns (e.g., sidecar architecture, secure base images, technical contracts) and familiarity with accessibility and security testing standards (e.g., OWASP, WCAG).</li></ul>

<ul><li>In this role, you will:</li><li>Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automated test frameworks for platform components and services.</li><li>Define and own platform-level test strategies, which include integration, performance, security, and end-to-end testing.</li><li>Work closely with Platform Engineers, Architects, and Cyber specialists to ensure testability and resilience at every layer of the platform.</li><li>Drive improvements in deployment testing to enable faster and more reliable releases.</li><li>Support observability and FinOps initiatives with a focus on cost-impact and performance-driven testing.</li><li>Mentor engineers and promote modern test automation and continuous delivery practices.</li></ul>
