Systems Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Proven experience in a networking/IT environment and a good understanding of networking fundamentals.</li><li>Experience in supporting and maintaining systems in a Microsoft client/server environment, with sound knowledge of MS operating systems and services (DNS, Active Directory, SCCM, SCOM, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.).</li><li>Familiarity with a range of infrastructure technologies such as VMWare ESX, Hyper-V, Aruba, Microsoft clustering, and SAN technologies.</li><li>Experience with Azure SaaS and PaaS technologies.</li><li>Ability to interpret requirements based on non-technical user specifications.</li><li>Capability to contribute to the development of a knowledge base and document best practices.</li><li>Experience in cross-team collaboration to ensure effective testing and delivery.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Background in project work, either leading small deliveries or as part of a larger team.</li><li>Ability to plan and progress work activities independently.</li><li>Experience in transitioning work into operational support.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>As a systems engineer in our technology operations change team, I will be responsible for actively contributing technical expertise to technology projects within our organization and, at times, leading small changes. My role will involve a variety of tasks ranging from designing and planning solutions to meet user requirements, to managing software and hardware rollouts and documentation. I will collaborate with architects, testers, project and product managers, and fellow engineers to research, design, and deliver technology solutions that culminate in a seamless handover to our live operations team. Additionally, I will work alongside colleagues in the technology operations run team to ensure that solutions are delivered smoothly into operational support while also assisting them with my expertise in resolving incidents and problems.</li></ul>
