Senior IT Engineer
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Right to Work in the UK: Legal authorization to work in the UK is required.</li><li>MSP Experience: I am looking for someone with previous experience in a managed service provider (MSP) or IT support provider environment.</li><li>Technical Skills: You should have strong hands-on experience with Windows 11, MacOS, and Microsoft 365 administration.</li><li>Troubleshooting: Excellent IT problem-solving skills are essential.</li><li>Communication: You need to possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be fluent in both written and spoken English.</li><li>Team Player: A proven ability to work collaboratively in a small team is crucial.</li><li>Task Ownership: You should be organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing your workload independently.</li><li>Certifications/Training: Relevant IT certifications or equivalent knowledge is preferred.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Provide 2nd Line Support: You will diagnose and resolve Tier-2 support tickets for desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices running Windows 11, MacOS, and Microsoft 365.</li><li>Microsoft Entra / Azure AD Administration: Your role includes managing users, groups, access, and supporting cloud identity issues.</li><li>Customer Service: We expect you to deliver friendly, professional support to end-users via phone, email, and on-site.</li><li>On-Site Visits: You will travel to client offices around Scotland as needed, with a pool car or mileage reimbursement provided.</li><li>Ticket & Documentation Management: You will log issues, track progress, and document resolutions.</li><li>System Maintenance: Proactively monitoring customer systems and remediating alerts will be part of your responsibilities.</li><li>Project Support: You will assist senior engineers with IT projects such as new client onboarding, Office 365 migrations, and network installations.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the knowledge base and helping to refine processes is also part of your role.</li></ul>
