Software Developer
<p><b>Salary: £45,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We are looking for a skilled Software Developer with strong knowledge and experience in software development, particularly in Object-Oriented Programming languages such as Java and C#. You should have expertise in SQL, preferably PL/SQL, and proficiency in Oracle Application Express as well as version control systems like GitHub/GIT. Familiarity with developer operations platforms, including JIRA and DevOps, is also desired. In addition, excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. You should have a strong understanding of coding standards and change control processes, along with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to produce innovative solutions.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>As a Software Developer in our team, your day-to-day duties will include collaborating with the Software Development Team to understand business requirements and integrating these requirements into applications that meet defined needs. You will develop, support, and maintain database and web applications in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Application Express, and Salesforce. Additionally, you will lead specified projects, provide input to project plans, and execute development tasks according to the project plan. We expect you to adhere to coding standards and processes, propose updates for review, and proactively identify application improvements, presenting changes to the team or manager. You will work independently on development projects with minimal supervision, participate in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, and conduct application testing and unit testing to ensure system stability. Furthermore, you will support user acceptance testing alongside colleagues and actively review your code for suitability, performance, and efficiency. Lastly, you will assist in the production and maintenance of application documentation and carry out patching activities as assigned.</li></ul>
