Systems Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team. I am seeking someone with a full understanding of the principles of systems engineering and prior experience as a Systems Engineer on a major program involving accepting and integrating deliveries from suppliers. Experience with requirements management software (e.g., DOORS) is essential. You should also have a background in software architecture within real-time or safety-related systems and understand the complete system life cycle from problem definition through to deployment. Experience in a software development environment and adherence to processes is a must.</li><li>Additionally, I prefer candidates who are enthusiastic self-starters with good attention to detail and both verbal and written communication skills. A comprehensive understanding of various software development methodologies and the ability to work under schedule and cost constraints is necessary.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>In this role, I want you to work closely with customers and suppliers to execute Systems Engineering activities across the full lifecycle, with a focus on Model Based Systems Engineering. You will be supporting the development of a multiple award-winning ATM system and working as part of an agile team. Your typical duties will include:</li><li>Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), product architects, and requirements to define low-level/software requirements through requirements gathering and analysis.</li><li>Conducting functional and technical analysis to shape the system design.</li><li>Producing detailed engineering artifacts, including Engineering Plans, Processes Documents, System Element Descriptions, Interface Design Documents (IDDs), and Safety artifacts related to ED109A.</li><li>Preparing operational instructions/training material for software applications and supporting tools.</li><li>Assisting in the definition of product concepts and software architecture.</li><li>Investigating issues identified during testing and operations, including problem diagnosis and resolution.</li><li>Reviewing test artifacts such as test cases and procedures.</li><li>Assisting with impact assessments for product releases or change requests in the pipeline.</li></ul>
