Solution Architect
<p><b>Salary: £109,200 - 114,600 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>I require 8 years of relevant Solution Architect experience and a total of 15 years of overall experience.</li><li>I expect a strong understanding of AWS gateway/integration methodologies, APIs, and data migration strategies.</li><li>You should possess Solution Architecture expertise with a consulting mindset, rather than just a Technical Architect role, though previous experience as a Technical Architect is desirable.</li><li>Strong Solution Architectural experience in medium to large-scale transformation programs is necessary.</li><li>I need you to have experience in driving architecture strategy, application integration, governance models, security roadmaps, application hosting in AWS Cloud, and software design.</li><li>A working understanding of Agile models and multi-supplier environments is important.</li><li>You should be accustomed to working as part of a team of Solution Architects, reporting to the Head of Architecture.</li><li>Knowledge of the Utilities industry is a plus.</li><li>Excellent articulation and presentation skills will be essential for collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>You will identify, publish, and communicate strategic technology standards, frameworks, principles, and roadmaps to guide technology decisions and drive efficiency opportunities.</li><li>Analyzing the impact of implementing new technologies into the IT infrastructure will be part of your role.</li><li>I expect you to assist Solution Architects, Product Specialists, and Project Managers in aligning technology services with specific business services, ensuring technology roadmaps are integrated into development projects.</li><li>You will design and guide the implementation of robust and scalable solutions.</li><li>It will be your responsibility to evaluate and represent solution options during the Architecture Review Board sessions and obtain approvals for the best-identified solutions for implementation.</li><li>Establishing architecture best practices and collaborating with Business, IT, and third-party product vendors to align program objectives and achieve critical goals will be essential.</li><li>Conducting system assessments to identify areas for optimization and improvement will also be part of your duties.</li></ul>

The ideal candidate will be assertive, supportive, and capable of negotiating effectively.</p>
