Senior Data Engineer (f/m/d) - Backend Development Experience

<h2>Tasks</h2>
<ul>
<li>Follow the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on data-driven systems.</li>
<li>Analyze system flows, data usage, and end-to-end data processing workflows.</li>
<li>Identify data-related problem areas, optimize performance, and resolve pipeline issues.</li>
<li>Lead and contribute to multiple Scrum teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.</li>
<li>Enforce clean, secure, and scalable data engineering best practices.</li>
<li>Design and implement robust data architectures for internal products and external data interfaces.</li>
<li>Design, develop, and optimize <strong>ETL/ELT pipelines</strong> to extract, transform, and load healthcare data from diverse sources.</li>
<li>Ensure <strong>data quality, integrity, security, and compliance</strong> through effective data governance and management practices.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with data analysts and stakeholders to deliver <strong>KPI dashboards and custom reports</strong>, leveraging BI tools.</li>
<li>Maintain and continuously improve data infrastructure to support performance, scalability, and reliability.</li>
<li>Research, evaluate, and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance data workflows and platform capabilities.</li>

<h2>Requirements</h2>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li><strong>7+ years of professional experience</strong> in Data Engineering or a closely related backend/data-focused role.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of <strong>data structures and algorithms</strong>.</li>
<li>Excellent proficiency in <strong>Python</strong> for data processing and pipeline development.</li>
<li>Strong experience with <strong>SQL and NoSQL databases</strong>.</li>
<li>Proven experience building and optimizing <strong>ETL/ELT pipelines</strong>, preferably in the <strong>healthcare domain</strong>.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with <strong>data processing and orchestration frameworks</strong> such as <strong>Apache Spark, Airflow</strong>, or similar tools.</li>
<li>Experience designing and consuming <strong>RESTful APIs</strong> for data integration.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of <strong>Git-based workflows</strong> and version control.</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>Docker</strong> and containerized data applications.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of <strong>clean, secure, and maintainable coding practices</strong>.</li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>Agile/Scrum methodologies</strong>.</li>
<li>Excellent documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.</li>
