Oracle DBA Professional
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong skills in Oracle DBA administration, with a willingness to learn new database-related technologies, preferably the latest versions.</li><li>Experience in resolving technical faults within Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure (Oracle DB/MySQL) and our support structure.</li><li>Programming skills are highly desirable, with proficiency in Python for development and integration support for automation. Understanding of Unix shell scripting is an advantage.</li><li>Ability to identify opportunities to use collaborative approaches and continuous improvement in your work.</li><li>Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across complex and matrix relationships and negotiate as necessary.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Provide technical support by resolving escalated technical issues to ensure systems availability for our customers.</li><li>Support the timely delivery of IT provisions, incident handling, service requests, and change management by the team, ensuring adherence to published SLAs and KPIs.</li><li>Offer analytical and innovative input to projects and operational issues while also supporting negotiations.</li><li>Provide early visibility of any issues or concerns to your Line Manager that could impact systems engineering objectives, managing escalations effectively.</li><li>Support operational elements related to transformational opportunities, helping us meet our Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and Technology objectives.</li></ul>

<p>This position is a 6-month contract with potential extensions based in Sheffield or Birmingham, requiring five days of onsite work. The compensation is £365 per day inside IR35, and we operate on an umbrella basis. Our focus is on incident handling and change implementation, particularly within Oracle DB and MySQL Server. We use and promote Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology as a standard operating tool to identify waste and drive improvements within our team. All profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience, and due to the high volume of applications, we will only respond to successful applicants in the first instance.
