Solutions Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>I require candidates to have at least 5 years of cloud-native development experience, preferably with Azure. Additionally, I look for a minimum of 5 years in software engineering, ideally with skills in C# and/or Python. Strong experience with cloud services such as Azure App Services, Functions, and AI Services is essential. Proficiency in REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures is necessary. Familiarity with Git-based version control (GitHub/Azure DevOps) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) is expected, alongside a strong knowledge of software testing practices and understanding of solution architecture principles. Experience in working across teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and familiarity with agile delivery practices are also important. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a must.</li><li>Desirable skills include experience with Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, LangChain, Semantic Kernel), knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, front-end development skills (React, Angular, Vue.js), and exposure to edge computing or VR/AR technologies.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>In the role of Solutions Engineer, I will partner with the Senior Solutions Architect to ensure that our solutions are scalable, secure, and provide tangible business benefits. I will collaborate with development teams across the Halma Group to roll out strategic initiatives, including the implementation of in-house Generative AI solutions. My responsibilities will include designing and building Proofs of Concept and prototypes using technologies such as cloud services, AI, VR/AR, and Edge AI. I will also provide hands-on support and guidance to technical teams, promoting best practices in code quality, CI/CD, testing, and agile delivery.</li><li>I will focus on developing scalable, reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, playbooks, and solution templates to drive efficiency and consistency. Additionally, I will work cross-functionally to turn innovative ideas into tangible prototypes that will inform decision-making and adoption.</li></ul>
