Psa Engineer - Generation
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We are looking for a PSA Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Power System Applications, specifically in areas such as Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Load Frequency Control, Load Forecasting, Economic Dispatch, Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, and Operator Training Simulator (OTS). You should have hands-on expertise preferably with GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS/GDC Platform Software, as well as familiarity with EMS platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider, etc. Proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating environments is essential. Additionally, experience working with communication protocols including IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, and OPC is required. You should also have experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, and proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, PERL, or similar for system integration or scripting. Furthermore, you will need to be proficient in SQL, Shell scripting, and have the ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>As part of your role, you will be responsible for electrical transmission modeling and will serve as an EMS Application Engineer for GE PowerOn Reliance / XA21 and the GE eTerra Platform, focusing on Power System Applications. Your responsibilities will include installing fixes on live customer systems and performing necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS systems. You will conduct code reviews, deployment, testing, and monitoring of break/fix patches and modifications to ensure the Energy Management System (EMS) is optimized. Additionally, you will administer and optimize the EMS through application configuration, tuning, and security patching. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills are crucial to success in this role.</li></ul>
