DevOps Engineer - Newcastle upon Tyne
<p><b>Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>I have hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.</li><li>I possess strong proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li><li>I have in-depth knowledge of container orchestration.</li><li>I have demonstrable experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.</li><li>I am an expert in using tools like Terraform or Ansible.</li><li>I am proficient in a scripting language such as Python or Bash.</li><li>I have a solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, Firewalls).</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>I am responsible for designing, implementing, and managing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for all platforms, enabling rapid and reliable software releases.</li><li>I develop and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform and Ansible.</li><li>I manage and scale containerized applications, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization in a multi-tenant environment.</li><li>I automate manual processes related to deployment, monitoring, and operations using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.</li><li>I implement and manage robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to proactively identify and resolve system issues.</li><li>I work closely with software developers, network engineers, and product managers to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.</li><li>I integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into the development lifecycle, including vulnerability scanning, static code analysis, and compliance checks.</li></ul>
