Engineering Lead
<p><b>Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>I seek candidates with proven experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar), with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>A strong understanding of DevOps principles and culture is essential, including automation, collaboration between development and operations teams, and a focus on continuous improvement.</li><li>Experience implementing or supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and deployment automation is required.</li><li>Hands-on experience designing, maintaining, or optimizing CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment) pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable, and repeatable software builds, testing, and releases is expected.</li><li>Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions is advantageous.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>I will rely on you to define engineering processes, standards, and guidance covering the end-to-end lifecycle of various components (software, infrastructure, service management, etc.), enabling the repeatable delivery of governed and assured products.</li><li>You will enable engineering governance, working across multiple suppliers to ensure quality artifacts are consistently produced to standards.</li><li>It will be your responsibility to define engineering and automation tooling requirements and architecture and support teams in delivering this technology along with the necessary supporting processes.</li><li>Ensuring the engineering function delivers value to our customers' businesses and achieves their strategic goals through the delivery of engineering concepts, guidance, and artifacts will be a key aspect of your role.</li><li>I expect you to manage the Engineering Community of Practice, leading a team of engineering-focused individuals to deliver the wider engineering function.</li></ul>

<p>We offer a competitive salary of £78k plus a 10% bonus, a 10% DV allowance, and a £6k car allowance, bringing the total package to up to £99,600. Candidates must be willing and eligible to undergo DV security clearance for this role.
