Solution Architect
<p><b>Salary: £95,000 - 95,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of designing modern application, integration, and cloud architectures across complex environments. You should possess capabilities across multiple architecture domains, with deeper expertise in at least one of the following: application, cloud, integration, data, or platform. Experience in delivering architecture options, technology selections, and pattern evaluations for major programs is essential. You must have the ability to provide strategic architectural direction through roadmaps, target-state design, modernisation pathways, and mentoring. A practical understanding of Agile delivery and the architects role within multidisciplinary teams is important. Strong communication skills are a must, as you will engage with both business and technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure (AWS/GCP desirable), is expected. Familiarity with a broad ecosystem of vendors and platforms, such as Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, and modern SaaS solutions, is also beneficial. Moreover, an appreciation for the commercial, organisational, people, and delivery impacts of architectural decisions is critical. Awareness or experience in emerging domains, such as microservices vs. packaged applications, event-driven and serverless architectures, multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud, API-first and integration platforms, and IoT enablement is desirable.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>In this role, you will design scalable, secure, cloud-native architectures using modern application, integration, and data patterns to ensure alignment with business outcomes. You will engage with stakeholders across CXO, product, engineering, and delivery teams to translate requirements into robust architectural solutions. Leading technical workshops, architecture reviews, and decision forums will be part of your responsibilities to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment. You will produce and maintain architecture blueprints, option assessments, and design artifacts across all architectural domains. Providing technical leadership to delivery and engineering teams, you will ensure best practices in microservices, APIs, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud security are upheld. Additionally, youll review solution designs, code approaches, and system performance to maintain engineering quality. Keeping current with emerging technologies, such as event-driven design, serverless, containers, AI/ML, and data modernization, will be essential, as will troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during build and release phases. You will partner with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration, automation, and continuous delivery pipelines. Finally, you will support pre-sales efforts with architectural input, solution shaping, technical write-ups, and client presentations.</li></ul>
