Senior Software Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>A passion for technology and continuous learning</li><li>Strong software engineering background with ideally 3 years experience building and maintaining production systems</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, especially Next.js, React, and React Native</li><li>Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence</li><li>A collaborative mindset, enjoying close work with UX designers, delivery managers, product managers, and other engineers</li><li>Confident problem-solver able to troubleshoot complex systems and guide others to effective technical solutions</li><li>Flexibility to adapt technical approach to fit existing technology stacks and standards</li><li>Proficient with CI/CD pipeline design and automation using tools such as GitHub Actions</li><li>Passion for code quality, with a strong understanding of TDD, automated testing, and peer review processes</li><li>Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments</li><li>Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and iterative delivery in cross-functional teams</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Work as part of a cross-functional squad to design, build, and ship high-quality digital products for clients</li><li>Take ownership of complex technical challenges, proposing well-structured, pragmatic solutions</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in languages and frameworks such as Node.js, TypeScript, and React</li><li>Contribute to estimates and technical planning alongside your team and the Client Lead</li><li>Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical people to explain ideas, trade-offs, and recommendations</li><li>Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions</li><li>Support the design, deployment, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and Azure</li><li>Promote strong engineering practices around code quality, automated testing, peer reviews, observability, and security</li><li>Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and QA to ensure user-focused and technically sound solutions</li></ul>
