Senior Frontend Software Engineer
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, modular, and high-performance front-end architectures (e.g., micro-frontends, design systems, component libraries)</li><li>Proven experience with a major front-end framework/library (e.g. React)</li><li>Experience with state management libraries</li><li>Expert-level knowledge of HTML5 semantics, accessibility standards (WCAG), and modern CSS (e.g., CSS Grid, Flexbox, pre-processors like Sass/Less)</li><li>Experience working with RESTful APIs</li><li>Knowledge of the product development lifecycle</li><li>Source control experience (e.g. GitLab)</li><li>Strong knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles</li><li>Working experience of unit test frameworks and test automation</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills</li><li>Strong expertise in Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum / Kanban) and tools (Desirable)</li><li>Healthcare industry experience (NHS) (Desirable)</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain complex, highly responsive, and user-friendly web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React)</li><li>Drive technical design and architectural decisions for the frontend, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security</li><li>Develop modular, reusable components and libraries</li><li>Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and design mockups into functional interfaces</li><li>Partner with other members of the development team to define and integrate necessary APIs (REST)</li><li>Promote and demonstrate software engineering best practices and principles</li><li>Participate in architectural and design discussions</li><li>Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues</li><li>Research and advocate for new technologies, tooling, and development processes to continuously improve the team’s tech stack and efficiency</li><li>Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team</li><li>Ensure all applications adhere to accessibility (a11y) and cross-browser compatibility standards</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a strong emphasis on quality and performance</li><li>Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to uphold team coding standards and patterns</li><li>Comply with X-ons Health & Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, PCI & DSP policies and procedures</li></ul>
