<p><b>Salary: £36,000 - 76,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>A relevant Bachelors degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or another STEM field (higher degree preferred)</li><li>Experience in one or more of the following areas, preferably within the sonar or similar domain:</li><li>- Signal Processing & Data Analysis</li><li>- Algorithm Development (Python, MATLAB, Java)</li><li>- Detection, Classification and Localisation (DCL)</li><li>- ML / AI for DCL and Sonar analysis</li><li>- Performance Prediction Modelling</li><li>- Operational Analysis</li><li>- Trials Data Analysis</li><li>- Finite Element Analysis & Fluid Dynamics</li><li>- Transducer Design</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and concisely to both expert and non-expert audiences</li><li>Proficiency in the use of mathematical and scientific modelling tools, such as Python or MATLAB</li><li>Proven ability to set and meet deadlines effectively</li><li>Existing or attainable Security Clearance (SC)</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Conduct in-depth analysis of Sonar Systems using established methodologies</li><li>Develop appropriate models and analysis based on performance requirements collaboratively defined with the system design team, aligning with customer specifications</li><li>Model performance across a broad spectrum of realistic underwater acoustic conditions</li><li>Evaluate sonar performance against customer requirements for inclusion in bid responses</li><li>Employ modelling and simulation to guide product decisions and refine Concepts of Operation/Employment</li><li>Assist in the execution of sea trials</li><li>Analyse trial data, assessing it against system performance requirements</li><li>Produce comprehensive reports on trial data analysis, drawing clear conclusions regarding trial success and the performance of the sonar system against its requirements</li><li>Regularly report on the progress of assigned work to project and product development teams</li><li>Provide expertise during design reviews and customer presentations</li></ul>
