IT Infrastructure Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Broad technical background with hands-on experience in:</li><li>Microsoft Modern Workplace environment</li><li>Hypervisor technologies (Hyper-V, AHV, or equivalent)</li><li>Networking fundamentals, including LAN, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Managed Switches, and VLANs</li><li>Scripting or automation skills, such as PowerShell</li><li>Windows Server (2008–2025) and Windows 10/11</li><li>Active Directory administration</li><li>Veeam Backup (desired but not essential)</li><li>Linux/Unix administration experience (desired but not essential)</li><li>Thrives in a fast-paced IT environment and manages multiple priorities effectively</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach</li><li>Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Effective collaboration with colleagues and support for continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Collaborate with the Infrastructure Manager to plan, implement, and document changes to IT infrastructure</li><li>Support the testing, review, and ongoing enhancement of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans</li><li>Act as an escalation point for infrastructure incidents, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues</li><li>Monitor system alerts and take timely action to maintain service availability and performance</li><li>Provide support to the IT Service Desk, offering guidance on infrastructure-related issues</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve and optimize IT infrastructure, processes, and systems</li><li>Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation, including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles</li></ul>
