Database Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £35,000 - 60,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Minimum 2 years experience in database architecture and management, including semantic cube development.</li><li>Proficient in SQL, data modelling, and transforming raw data into structured formats.</li><li>Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate business needs into technical solutions.</li><li>Familiarity with Azure Fabric; experience with DAX, Jet Analytics, or NAV is advantageous.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Take ownership of the current Data Warehouse, ensuring its ongoing optimisation and development while maintaining best practices in data mapping, coding standards, and data quality.</li><li>Design, develop, and maintain a scalable data warehouse architecture, integrating data from multiple internal and external sources using connectors and APIs.</li><li>Safeguard data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and security across all warehouse and reporting environments.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve data model performance issues, maintaining comprehensive documentation of data flows and reporting structures.</li><li>Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to identify needs, integrate new data sources, and support evolving business requirements.</li><li>Oversee project deliverables and timelines, ensuring the timely completion of all data-related initiatives.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures including health and safety and employment.</li><li>Perform any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holders Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder.</li></ul>
