IT Network Security Engineer
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>5 years in a Technical IT role in a Microsoft environment</li><li>CCNA/CCNP certification (mandatory)</li><li>Strong experience with LAN/WAN/VLAN, VPNs, and enterprise-grade switching (Dell preferred)</li><li>Firewall configuration and management (Fortigate experience highly desirable)</li><li>Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, 2FA, and AD</li><li>Familiarity with VMware/ESXi, SCCM/MECM, Veeam, CrowdStrike, and Cortex XDR is a plus</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time-management skills</li><li>Proactive, collaborative mindset with a flexible and methodical approach</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Designing and managing robust, secure network infrastructure in line with Group IT and security standards</li><li>Administering routers, switches, firewalls (Fortigate), VPNs, VLANs, servers, telephony, and LAN/WAN systems</li><li>Overseeing IP address management, DNS, DHCP, VoIP, and VPN traffic to ensure performance and security</li><li>Planning and testing hardware lifecycle, hot-swaps, failovers, and business continuity procedures</li><li>Collaborating with internal IT and Group SOC teams to implement preventative security measures</li><li>Maintaining detailed documentation, including network schematics and technical processes</li><li>Providing hands-on support for endpoint hardware, client installation, and end-user training</li><li>Supporting MS Active Directory, Group Policies, O365, and secure email/web environments</li></ul>

<p>We are Wise Employment, a rapidly expanding company based in Exeter. We are looking for an IT Network Security Engineer for a Full Time Permanent role, working 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
