Nutritional Premixes Product Developer
<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>BSC/MSc in Food Science, Food Chemistry or related field</li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience in end-to-end product development from idea to implementation</li><li>Good understanding of ingredient functionality including vitamins, minerals, flavours, colours, covering additives, and sweeteners</li><li>Experience in the development and manufacture of premixes, nutritional products, RTD beverages, and beverage concentrates</li><li>Proven ability to lead and project manage all technical aspects of a project from scope through to implementation</li><li>Passion for sustainability and food innovation with a focus on continuous improvement</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Complete customer product development & internal led innovation projects as assigned.</li><li>Continuously build expertise on functional ingredients and nutrients.</li><li>Communicate professionally and effectively with customers to ensure robust scoping of all projects.</li><li>Provide formulation and nutrition support to all sections of the business and customers.</li><li>Ensure accurate scoping process for customer requirements and project approval.</li><li>Design product development solutions that meet customer requirements including organoleptic, quality, legal & regulatory, stability and cost.</li><li>Develop product formulations based on customer ideas for various product types.</li><li>Conduct sensory assessments prior to customer submissions.</li><li>Advise on the role of packaging in product shelf life and methodology for validation.</li><li>Assist in training for sales representatives and customers.</li><li>Work with procurement and quality teams to identify and onboard raw material suppliers.</li><li>Lead trials at internal and external manufacturing facilities.</li><li>Support first productions to address any product issues effectively.</li><li>Provide technical inputs for supplier raw material approval.</li></ul>
