Data Platform Lead
<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Demonstrable experience in similar relevant technical managerial roles</li><li>Strong experience of incident resolution, requests, changes, and problem-solving activities delivered to agreed SLAs</li><li>Experience of implementing Cloud Technologies</li><li>Experience of Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server</li><li>Extensive experience of implementing, managing, and supporting data platforms in a demanding environment</li><li>Experience of JIRA and Confluence</li><li>Understanding of FinOps; PaaS; Alerting and Monitoring</li><li>Experience of managing teams of over 5 people in a complex, challenging environment setting and managing against SLAs and business objectives (desirable)</li><li>Experience of GitHub, Git Actions, Terraform, Zero Trust architectures, and PaaS (desirable)</li><li>Preferably educated to graduate level with a bachelors degree in business, computer science, or a related field</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Line management of a number of direct reports within the team</li><li>Resource management across the team, ensuring that the relevant workload associated with the team (Design, Project delivery, Operational and Change) are delivered as agreed</li><li>Act as the Subject Matter Expert around the Data Platform capability</li><li>Maintain the Data Platform for all Connells users, managing critical downtime and risk of disruption</li><li>Lead on ensuring an appropriate and robust response to applicable incidents and ensure root cause analysis and resolution occurs</li><li>Ensure an applicable out-of-hours support model is in place for 24x7x365 operational running</li><li>Own the Data Platform designs and supplier relationships</li><li>Support incident and change projects where appropriate</li><li>Undertake proactive monitoring and react to escalations from other IT teams</li><li>Ensure patches and upgrades are implemented in line with operational limits</li></ul>
