Software Engineering Manager
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Excellent written and communication skills, including writing bids, technical reports and giving presentations.</li><li>Proven ability in delivering software development programmes to time, cost, quality.</li><li>Knowledge of software delivery estimation techniques and experience in identifying best approaches.</li><li>Understanding and application of software development lifecycles to delivery programmes.</li><li>Experience in management of software development risk.</li><li>Proven experience in planning and leading software work-package and delivery projects.</li><li>Leadership experience in software design activities and providing engineering support.</li><li>Ability to generate software specifications and technical procurement specifications.</li><li>Knowledge of documenting the design process including verification of system requirements.</li><li>Desirable: Ability to understand UML diagrams.</li><li>Experience in management of software tasks within JIRA and defining JIRA workflows.</li><li>Desirable: Understanding of software branching and repository management, Java and C++ skills.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Lead activity to deliver complex software engineering projects for our defence maritime client.</li><li>Manage and coordinate technical teams for new product development initiatives.</li><li>Develop engineering technical solutions and associated costs, risks, and programmes.</li><li>Deliver technical outputs to time, cost, and quality using project management methodologies.</li><li>Build and develop positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Manage engineering teams to deliver agreed work packages, including meetings and reporting.</li><li>Report on teams delivery in respect to cost, schedule, quality, and risk.</li></ul>
