Application Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £34,000 - 56,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>High-level security clearance (DV) required</li><li>Strong experience in application management and maintenance</li><li>Familiarity with Geospatial capabilities and related software</li><li>Ability to work with Core Services and Agile Change teams</li><li>Excellent communication and liaison skills with technical teams and stakeholders</li><li>Experience in managing application upgrades in both fixed and deployed environments</li><li>Proficient in diagnosing software issues and debugging code</li><li>Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and software lifecycle management</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Manage and maintain the application baseline across multiple domains</li><li>Support Core Services and Agile Change teams to ensure up-to-date applications</li><li>Liaise with 2nd and 3rd Line engineers, contractors, and customer Resolver groups for effective information flow</li><li>Maintain and deliver application upgrades under the direction of the Technical Lead</li><li>Provide technical support to clients and relay information to development teams</li><li>Integrate with ITAM for vendor information and software maintenance agreements</li><li>Optimize applications through new technologies and upgrades</li><li>Document processes, procedures, and application version histories</li><li>Enhance relationships with MOD, Military, and other contractors</li><li>Investigate and resolve application deployment issues</li><li>Monitor hardware or software changes and manage deployment impacts</li><li>Support software application deployments, upgrades, and patches in line with MODCERT processes</li></ul>
