C++ Software Engineer - East Knighton
<p><b>Salary: £36,000 - 76,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>SC Clearance required - all candidates must hold or be eligible to gain SC Clearance before starting the role</li><li>Understanding of military systems, particularly maritime systems</li><li>Experience of Software Engineering Lifecycle processes and tools</li><li>Understanding of Open Systems Architectures and Principles</li><li>Ability to solve complex problems and critically review results and methods to ensure quality</li><li>Awareness of ISO 9001 and TickITplus standards</li><li>Understanding of software configuration management</li><li>Ability to communicate with expert and non-expert stakeholders</li><li>Proven ability in one or more of the following industry areas: Defence, Maritime, Rail</li><li>Primary software/system skills: C++ / Visual Studio, UML / Enterprise Architect for system design</li><li>Desirable skills: Sonar processing, Intel Threaded Building Blocks, Fortran, Signal Processing, Object Oriented Design, Algorithm optimisation/implementation</li></ul>

<ul><li>Apply a software engineering approach to undertake all tasks within a software development lifecycle</li><li>Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify requirements and develop solutions</li><li>Utilize software engineering tools and processes to ensure quality and efficiency in development</li><li>Conduct critical reviews of results and methods to ensure compliance with standards</li><li>Engage in continuous learning and development within defence and military contexts</li><li>Contribute to system design using UML and Enterprise Architect as required</li><li>Participate in problem-solving discussions and provide insights based on experience</li></ul>
