Storage Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £104,000 - 130,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong experience with VMWare 6/7/8 environments</li><li>Knowledge of Cisco UCS and NSX environments</li><li>Proficiency in platform monitoring solutions</li><li>Experience with Fibre Channel Fabrics, including Brocade switching</li><li>Expertise in disaster recovery planning and execution</li><li>Familiarity with data centre management</li><li>Proficient in Windows and RHEL operating systems</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code; automating using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, or Python</li><li>Knowledge of Grafana and Agile working practices</li><li>Experience in a cross-functional DevOps environment</li><li>Additional Expertise (desirable):</li><li>Commercial experience in DR/BCP design and testing procedures</li><li>Familiarity with the Nutanix virtualization platform</li><li>Security design and architecture expertise</li><li>Commvault platform knowledge</li><li>Certifications: VMware VCP 6.5 or higher, Nutanix NCP, NetApp NCDA, AWS Solutions Architect / AWS SysOPS Administrator</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Support and enhance the existing virtual storage and compute platform</li><li>Improve platform engineering for vMotion setup</li><li>Enhance the current Commvault backup system</li><li>Plan the adoption of NVMe technology</li><li>Contribute to the platform roadmap and propose improvements</li><li>Design and deploy new technology solutions, such as VMWare NSX, vRealize automation orchestration, Nutanix, and SAN migrations</li><li>Monitor the efficiency of storage and archiving procedures</li><li>Support disaster recovery efforts and conduct general platform troubleshooting</li><li>Manage data protection strategies</li></ul>
