Head of Software Engineering
<p><b>Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Experience working with founders, boards, and investors</li><li>Comfort presenting plans and progress at board meetings</li><li>Proven track record managing teams of ten or more</li><li>Experience handling the full management cycle including hiring and performance management</li><li>Previous responsibility for budgets, roadmaps, and architecture</li><li>Experience managing outsourced teams and building internal capabilities</li><li>Delivered complex products integrating hardware and embedded software</li><li>Proficient in C++17 or later, with familiarity in Python and Rust</li><li>Strong understanding of security standards, particularly ISO 27001</li><li>Experience with embedded Linux, drivers, firmware, and ADC pathways</li><li>Familiarity with Git, CI/CD processes, and automated testing frameworks</li><li>Knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, RS485, Ethernet)</li></ul>

<ul><li>Architect next generation cloud software for civil engineering, security, and defense</li><li>Build and lead an in-house engineering team</li><li>Drive transition from outsourced to in-house engineering capabilities</li><li>Define and deliver on company milestones, roadmaps, and architectures</li><li>Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget</li><li>Conduct hands-on contributions to coding and software reviews</li><li>Foster team development and performance management</li><li>Collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams</li></ul>
