Security Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £109,500 - 146,100 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Active MOD DV clearance required</li><li>Must be a sole British National</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Splunk (Enterprise & ES)</li><li>Strong skills in SPL for correlation searches, data models, and notable events</li><li>Experience with TA/TAF configuration and source type normalization</li><li>Familiarity with KV store, summary indexing, and search head clustering</li><li>Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack / Elastic Security</li><li>Knowledge of index lifecycle management, ingest pipelines, and ECS mapping</li><li>Proven ability to design and tune detection rules (KQL, EQL)</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong client management and relationship-building experience</li><li>Experience operating security tools in production environments</li><li>Broader experience across Automation, IaaC and technical operations is desirable</li></ul>

<ul><li>Lead the design, documentation, and installation of security monitoring tools/platforms</li><li>Provide data to the Security Operational Centre (SOC) for analysis</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks and design controls</li><li>Define testing requirements for security systems</li><li>Ensure correct tooling is operational to protect and monitor clients</li><li>Assess complex situations to identify risks and recommend effective solutions</li></ul>
