Performance Information Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £104,000 - 123,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.</li><li>Experience in CI/CD, agile software engineering, SQL, Python/Scala, and R.</li><li>Professional qualifications in software engineering or information analysis are desirable.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of data engineering, BI, and analytics.</li><li>Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Problem-solving and proactive approach to improving data pipelines.</li><li>Knowledge of data ethics, security, and legal obligations.</li><li>Experience in nuclear, safety-critical, or regulated industries is advantageous.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Translate business requirements and designs into technical solutions.</li><li>Develop, test, and deploy data products using Databricks, Power BI, SQL, Python, Scala, and other technologies.</li><li>Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows for batch and streaming processes.</li><li>Document data mappings, transformations, and lineage; re-engineer manual processes for scalability and automation.</li><li>Ensure adherence to data standards, security, GDPR, and quality requirements.</li><li>Use agile methodologies (Azure DevOps) to manage tasks, dependencies, and deliverables.</li><li>Support continuous improvement, monitoring, and CI/CD deployment of data products.</li></ul>
