Data Architect (SC Cleared) - Defence
<p><b>Salary: £130,000 - 150,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Active SC Clearance</li><li>Proven experience working as a Data Architect within Defence or similarly regulated environments</li><li>Strong expertise in data modelling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models</li><li>Experience defining and maintaining data standards, policies, and governance frameworks</li><li>Hands-on experience with metadata management and data integration impact analysis</li><li>Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences</li><li>Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams</li><li>Strong problem management skills, including root cause analysis and preventative measures</li><li>Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, BI, and data warehouse architectures (desirable)</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Design, support, and guide the upgrade, management, decommissioning, and archiving of data in line with data policy</li><li>Define and maintain data technology architecture, including metadata, integration, BI, and data warehouse architectures</li><li>Produce, maintain, and reverse-engineer data models to meet organisational and programme needs</li><li>Provide input into and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories</li><li>Undertake data profiling and source system analysis to support effective data use</li><li>Ensure data solutions comply with governance, security, and assurance requirements</li><li>Monitor compliance with data standards and assess the impact of breaches</li><li>Support multidisciplinary delivery teams with clear data insights and architectural guidance</li><li>Communicate effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing competing priorities and perspectives</li></ul>

<p>We are seeking an SC Cleared Data Architect to support a major Defence programme based in Corsham. This long-term contract role offers a rate of up to £575 per day (Inside IR35) and provides a hybrid working arrangement with 4 days per week on-site, plus occasional travel to DMS Whittington.
