Principal Developer / Architect
<p><b>Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>8–10+ years in software engineering and/or solution architecture</li><li>Experience operating at Senior/Principal level in enterprise environments</li><li>Strong background in distributed, cloud-native, and data-intensive systems</li><li>Deep AWS experience (essential)</li><li>Strong data modeling and data architecture skills</li><li>Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST/event-driven services; good knowledge of Angular/Node.js</li><li>Solid understanding of CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and modern DevOps practices</li><li>Experience with observability, security-by-design, and high-availability systems</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills</li></ul>

<ul><li>Define and govern architecture, development, and data standards</li><li>Design and review solution architectures, assessing risks and trade-offs</li><li>Build PoCs and technical spikes to validate decisions and technologies</li><li>Provide architectural leadership across multiple products and teams</li><li>Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and resilience</li><li>Lead data modeling and contribute to data architecture standards</li><li>Collaborate with senior architects, engineering leads, product teams, and external partners</li><li>Ensure designs meet SLAs, security, compliance, and operational requirements</li></ul>
