Solution Architect
<p><b>Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Minimum 10 years experience developing software solutions for medium to large organisations in a consulting or principal capacity.</li><li>Demonstrable experience delivering practical and innovative solutions, underpinned by architectural principles and design standards.</li><li>Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, including CIOs, CTOs, solution architects, and delivery teams.</li><li>Strong pre-sales capability, including solution shaping, customer presentations, and applying a consultative and commercial approach to opportunities.</li><li>Strong research, design, and communication skills, with experience producing architectures, technical documentation, proposals, and thought leadership content.</li><li>Ability to present confidently, influence decision-making, and lead technical discussions.</li><li>Experience taking ownership of key technical decisions and supporting problem resolution.</li><li>Commitment to quality through effective documentation, testing approaches, and delivery standards.</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Lead pre-sales technical engagements with customers.</li><li>Develop and deliver solution demonstrations, technical workshops, and customer presentations.</li><li>Engage with senior customer stakeholders to discuss architectures, solution options, and technical trade-offs.</li><li>Produce high-quality solution architectures, including documentation, diagrams, assumptions, risks, and implementation approaches.</li><li>Lead the technical shaping of bids and proposals, ensuring solutions are deliverable, commercially aligned, and meet customer requirements.</li><li>Provide hands-on technical leadership across client engagements, supporting solution definition through to transition into delivery.</li><li>Work closely with Sales to provide technical insight, product knowledge, and consultative support to progress opportunities.</li><li>Apply knowledge of IBM technologies, Microsoft Azure, AI, and open-source platforms to develop appropriate solutions and support opportunity growth.</li><li>Collaborate with the Head of Consulting to shape solutions, presentations, bids, and proposals for combined software and consulting services.</li></ul>
