Network Security Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £130,000 - 143,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and SASE solutions</li><li>Experience with Palo Alto Networks and/or Fortinet highly desirable</li><li>Solid understanding of security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and GDPR</li><li>Experience in technical and compliance reviews</li><li>Familiarity with security assurance criteria and risk assessment methodologies</li><li>Active SC clearance required</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Conduct detailed technical and compliance reviews of NGFW and SASE platforms</li><li>Assess firewall configurations, policies, and security profiles against internal criteria and industry best practices</li><li>Review and validate security controls across on-premises data centres, branch offices, and cloud-based environments</li><li>Validate alignment with regulatory and internal governance standards and identify compliance gaps</li><li>Produce structured, audit-ready documentation including compliance mapping and risk assessments</li><li>Define and support implementation of changes to align environments with security assurance standards</li><li>Engage regularly with business units and engineering teams, providing progress updates</li><li>Contribute to the enhancement of security review processes and documentation standards</li><li>Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations for various stakeholders</li></ul>
