Service Designer (SC Cleared)
<p><b>Salary: £91,000 - 97,300 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Active UKSV SC clearance</li><li>Proven experience as a Service Designer in UK Central Government or similar regulated environments</li><li>Strong understanding of GDS standards and the Service Manual</li><li>Experience working in agile delivery teams</li><li>Ability to communicate complex service problems clearly and pragmatically</li><li>Comfortable working remotely with occasional onsite attendance</li><li>(Nice to Have) Experience supporting live services and service assessments</li><li>(Nice to Have) Background working across discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases</li><li>(Nice to Have) Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices</li><li>(Nice to Have) Experience collaborating closely with policy and operational teams</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Designing and mapping end-to-end user journeys across complex public sector services</li><li>Applying GDS standards, service design principles, and user-centred design methods</li><li>Facilitating and contributing to workshops, design critiques, and stakeholder sessions</li><li>Translating user needs, research insights, and policy constraints into service improvements</li><li>Creating service blueprints, journey maps, and artefacts to support delivery teams</li><li>Collaborating within agile, multidisciplinary teams to support continuous delivery</li><li>Supporting service assessments and assurance processes where required</li><li>Clearly documenting design decisions and communicating them to technical and non-technical audiences</li></ul>

This position is for an initial 6 months and is focused on collaborative service design within multidisciplinary agile teams.
