Senior Python Developer - Team Lead
<p><b>Salary: £45,000 - 70,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong commercial experience working in a senior Python engineering capacity</li><li>Degree educated in Computer Science or similar</li><li>Experience operating in a technical leadership or team lead role</li><li>Proven experience designing and building scalable backend systems</li><li>Strong experience with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK</li><li>Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures</li><li>Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and version control tools including Docker, Kubernetes and Git</li><li>Comfortable working in Agile environments, leading technical delivery and running the full sprint cycle</li><li>Strong communication skills with a collaborative, mentoring-focused approach</li><li>A DBS check will be required</li><li>Experience in the following is beneficial:</li><li>EdTech or education-focused platforms</li><li>Serverless architectures</li><li>AI-enabled applications</li></ul>

<ul><li>Leading a team of 2 Developers which is set to grow</li><li>Lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable Python applications</li><li>Set and uphold engineering standards and best practices across the team</li><li>Remain hands-on with architecture, development and code reviews</li><li>Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions</li><li>Design, build and maintain cloud-based systems in AWS</li><li>Champion Infrastructure-as-Code and automated deployment approaches</li><li>Mentor and support developers, helping to raise technical standards across the team</li><li>Identify and implement improvements to performance, scalability and reliability</li></ul>
