Solution Architect
<p><b>Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong background in 4G/5G mobile network architecture (RAN, Core)</li><li>Proven experience in SATCOM system architecture (space, ground)</li><li>Deep knowledge of 3GPP architecture, protocols, and interfaces</li><li>Hands-on understanding of RAN concepts (PHY/MAC, scheduling, mobility, beamforming, interference management)</li><li>Experience producing architecture documents, system diagrams, and technical specifications</li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills, able to interface with stakeholders at all levels</li><li>Preferred: Direct experience with NTN, SCS, or Direct-to-Cell systems</li><li>Preferred: Familiarity with 3GPP Rel-17 NTN enhancements</li><li>Preferred: Knowledge of O-RAN (SMO, RIC, xApps/rApps) and GSMA APIs</li><li>Preferred: Exposure to simulation, modeling, or digital-twin tools for network planning</li><li>Preferred: Experience with cloud-native network orchestration and automation</li><li>Preferred: Software engineering or scripting experience</li><li>Preferred: Publications or patents in satellite/mobile communications</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Lead solution architecture for multi-orbit satellite systems integrated with 4G/5G NTN and future 6G concepts</li><li>Define end-to-end system architectures (UE ? RAN ? Core ? Transport/SDN ? Service layer)</li><li>Own architectural blueprints, interfaces, and decomposition across space, ground, and mobile network domains</li><li>Drive technical proposals, customer engagement, and requirements collection</li><li>Optimize SATCOM and NTN RAN, including radio resource management (beam management, mobility, scheduling, interference coordination)</li><li>Ensure solutions meet regulatory and spectrum requirements (ITU-R, regional regulators)</li><li>Contribute to standards bodies and industry forums (3GPP, ETSI, GSMA, O-RAN, ESA NTN Forum, etc.)</li><li>Define orchestration and automation strategies for cloud-native, SDN-based networks</li></ul>
