Data Engineering Manager
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead Manager in a data, platform, or backend environment</li><li>A background in data or backend engineering, such as AWS, Python, Scala, Spark, Airflow, or similar</li><li>Experience owning or supporting analytics, data, or reporting products</li><li>Strong people leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, and performance management</li><li>A track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives</li><li>Nice to have: Experience with automation or test tooling</li><li>Familiarity with data privacy and governance, such as GDPR or consented data</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Lead engineering across a set of data product teams, with responsibility for both people and outcomes</li><li>Own the roadmap and execution for data products spanning multiple domains such as apps, web, media, social, and commerce</li><li>Drive improvements to data models and event structures, reducing complexity and inconsistency</li><li>Shape and prioritise work on automation and internal tools that reduce manual effort and raise quality</li><li>Partner closely with Product, Data Engineering, ML, Apps, QA, and client-facing teams</li><li>Hire, develop, and support engineers and tech leads through one-on-ones, feedback, and career development</li><li>Establish and improve engineering practices around observability, data quality, documentation, incident response, and service levels</li></ul>
