Technical Consultant – VoIP Systems
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Solid background in VoIP / Unified Communications (cloud or on-premise IP PBX, SIP, DECT, IP phones)</li><li>Knowledge of broadband and WAN technologies (e.g. DSL, LTE), routers, and firewalls</li><li>Familiarity with network switching, VLANs, and VPNs</li><li>Confidence with technical analysis (SIP traces, PCAPs, logs, etc.)</li><li>Experience in a distributor, MSP, VAR, or vendor support role</li><li>Ability to present clearly and comfortably in front of an audience</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Work closely with the internal sales team, vendors, and channel partners to design, support, and promote effective solutions</li><li>Deliver product demonstrations and assist with technical aspects of sales pitches</li><li>Support webinars, open days, and industry events with solution-focused technical input</li><li>Identify and suggest upsell opportunities based on customer needs</li><li>Deliver technical product and certification training to partners and internal staff</li><li>Assist in the creation of training materials and technical content</li><li>Plan and run technical workshops and webinars (virtual and in-person)</li><li>Promote upcoming training sessions in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams</li><li>Act as a technical liaison for key UC vendors and manufacturers</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge and certifications across the vendor portfolio</li><li>Attend vendor briefings and contribute to product lifecycle planning</li><li>Provide 2nd-line technical support to partners on UC, networking, and security solutions</li><li>Troubleshoot issues via logs, remote sessions, and lab testing</li><li>Escalate to vendors where required and contribute to internal knowledge base articles</li></ul>
