Embedded Software Engineer
<p><b>Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong understanding of C programming</li><li>Experience writing test software at the hardware or device driver level</li><li>Good understanding of DOS executables</li><li>Solid working knowledge of Linux</li><li>Awareness of NI tools such as LabVIEW and TestStand (advantageous)</li><li>Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or bash</li><li>Understanding of JTAG technologies and boundary scan for PCB validation</li><li>Understanding of Ethernet-based network communication protocols</li><li>Awareness of computer architectures and hardware design</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical, solution-oriented approach</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment</li><li>Eligibility for SC Clearance is essential</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Develop and maintain automated test sequences, embedded software, firmware, and scripts to validate products from development through to manufacturing</li><li>Collaborate closely with Production to validate and deploy test solutions in the manufacturing environment</li><li>Provide direct production support to maintain existing test solutions and ensure on-time customer delivery</li><li>Communicate technical progress and status to key stakeholders clearly and professionally</li><li>Produce internal documentation in line with engineering procedures and quality standards</li></ul>
