Android Platform Engineer

<p><b>Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong experience in Android app development using Java and Android Studio</li><li>Exposure to Android or Linux internals</li><li>Proficiency in low-level coding languages, such as C and C++</li><li>Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, and version control (e.g., Git)</li><li>Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban</li><li>Ability to solve complex, technical problems independently and collaboratively</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Designing, developing, and testing bespoke Android software components</li><li>Working across the full Android stack, including applications, platform services, and system-level code</li><li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software</li><li>Investigating, troubleshooting, and optimising performance and security issues</li><li>Contributing to software architecture decisions and promoting best practices for Android development</li></ul>
