Lead Appian Consultant
<p><b>Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year</b></p>
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Strong hands-on experience delivering Appian solutions</li><li>Deep knowledge of Appian components including interfaces, workflows, data, security, and integrations</li><li>Solid understanding of relational databases and system integration patterns</li><li>Experience working within Agile and traditional delivery environments</li><li>Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control, automated testing) is desirable</li><li>Experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments is desirable</li><li>Strong understanding of secure development and compliance considerations</li><li>Interest or experience in Appian AI or intelligent automation is a plus</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Set technical direction for Appian solutions aligned to wider business priorities</li><li>Design secure, scalable applications based on business requirements</li><li>Establish and maintain development standards, patterns, and architectural guidance</li><li>Resolve complex technical challenges relating to performance, integrations, or design</li><li>Support lead technical estimation activities and contribute to delivery planning</li><li>Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and dependency management</li><li>Ensure delivery velocity is balanced with quality and long-term sustainability</li><li>Build and maintain advanced Appian components including interfaces, workflows, records, and integrations</li><li>Review designs and code to ensure consistency and quality</li><li>Proactively manage technical debt and architectural risk</li><li>Support release planning, deployments, and environment stability</li><li>Work closely with Product Owners to ensure solutions meet business and user needs</li><li>Partner with delivery leads to manage risks, timelines, and dependencies</li><li>Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Contribute to platform roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul>

<p>We are a dynamic company based near Manchester, currently seeking two Lead Appian Consultants to take ownership of the technical direction across several internal Appian programmes within a multi-organisation environment. Our role blends hands-on delivery, architectural oversight, and team leadership. We offer a supportive and flexible working environment, a 37.5-hour working week, and 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
