Data Platform Engineer
<b>Requirements:</b>
<ul><li>Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines in a cloud environment</li><li>Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling</li><li>Experience working with Databricks (PySpark/SQL) and Azure data services</li><li>Familiarity with Git and CI/CD approaches for data engineering</li><li>A collaborative approach and attention to detail</li><li>Proactive, methodical, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical colleagues</li><li>Pride in building dependable, well-documented data solutions ready for production use</li></ul>
<b>Responsibilities:</b>
<ul><li>Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in the Microsoft cloud using Azure Data Factory, Databricks and related Azure services</li><li>Produce robust, performant, and cost-efficient data pipelines with quality and reliability built in from the start</li><li>Work with modern engineering practices including Git, CI/CD and environment separation</li><li>Promote small, safe and frequent changes in the data pipeline</li><li>Play an active role in data quality, validation, and governance</li><li>Ensure datasets are well-documented, secure and discoverable</li><li>Partner with BI analysts, data product teams and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, well-modelled and fit for purpose</li></ul>

<p>We are a forward-thinking organization looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our team. We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 per year and a permanent, full-time contract with a workweek of 36.25 hours, Monday to Friday (9am – 5.15pm). Our hybrid work model requires weekly presence in Milton Keynes or Boston. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality data into our cloud platform, enabling reporting, analytics, and evidence-based decision-making across the organization.</p>
